Shania Twain Announces ‘Not Just A Girl’ Album and Documentary

Following a five-year hiatus from releasing recorded music, country-pop icon Shania Twain returns on July 26th with her brand new single, album, and Netflix documentary all titled ‘Not Just A Girl’ and it marks the start of an exciting new chapter for the legendary hitmaker who has been in the studio working on a new studio LP.

The forthcoming film takes us through Twain’s iconic journey from small-town Canada to becoming the most successful female performer in country music with multiple Grammy wins, 100 million+ records sold worldwide and a whole of host record-making feats along the way; and she’s still at the top.

This all comes on the back of her triumphant return to music back in 2017 via the ‘Now’ LP which came after 15 years away from releasing music and 10 years away from the stage due to a combination of personal tribulation and the fact that she completely lost her singing voice due to Lymes disease.

But her return to the industry was welcomed by fans and critics alike. That album topped the charts around the globe and led to a sold-out world tour where she entertained packed crowds every night and is currently in Las Vegas on her second residence and next week she kick-starts another new era in her incredible career.

Confirming the news via social media, Shania Twain stated: “Not Just A Girl – The Documentary, coming to @netflix
on July 26th. Not Just A Girl (The Highlights) album, released digitally on July 26th, with physical available September 2nd. Pre-order here: Shania.lnk.to/TheHighlights” (sic)
