SINGLE REVIEW: Twinnie’s ‘Bad Man’

Now based in Nashville, TN, British country-pop artist Twinnie has kick-started a new musical chapter with the release of the sombre ballad ‘Bad Man’ which follows on from the intimately beautiful and heartbreaking ‘The Way I Loved You’ and is the second instalment off the upcoming ‘Bue Hour’ EP.

This forthcoming project is an extremely personal one for the UK singer/songwriter and it taps into a phase of her life that was filled with hurt, heartbreak, and new beginnings; there is something exceptionally raw about these songs and it’s giving her the opportunity to truly shine as a storyteller.

And ‘Bad Man’ taps into the expertly – with the hard-hitting lyrics focusing on the fear and trepidation of starting a new relationship whilst still carrying the scars that, that other person caused through their betrayal and “love” – it’s a ballad that is steeped in country sounds and styles and it puts Twinnie firmly on the map “as the next big thing”.

There’s always that one particular moment in an artist’s career where that one release feels like the start and it’s like “Oh, they have what it takes, this could be the song”, and ‘Bad Man’ feels like that for Twinnie – it’s raw, emotional, unfiltered and real; all the hallmarks of a country radio hit, not to mention her vocals sound amazing.

‘Bad Man’ is a track that is building flawlessly on the success of ‘The Way I Loved You’ whilst continuing the stories’ narrative and further building the bridge to the forthcoming ‘Blue Hour’ EP which will be Twinnie’s third extended release in as many years; a huge career feat for a creative still making inroads into the genre.
