SINGLE REVIEW: Caleb Seth’s ‘Ride’

Heavily influenced by the R&B scene and artists from that genre such as Boys 2 Men, on-the-rise Caleb Seth’s musical style is very much littered with smooth rhythms whilst his country roots keep his sound anchored in that world which creates a fantastically intriguing sub-genre of Country-R&B.

There is an element of surprise crafted between the nuances of his inviting lyrical style. He never fails to remind listeners that the country music genre is one of if not the most fluid style[s] of music there is – there is very little artists from that genre can’t do and shouldn’t be afraid to do and Caleb is proof of that.

And his latest offering titled ‘Ride’ which follows on from the previously released ‘West Tennessee’, broadens the realms of his sound and delivers a polished production that puts the emphasis on his storytelling songwriting style and impressive vocal that lends itself to this variety of crossover categories.

Singing about the anticipation of a new relationship, with those rush of feelings of “she might just like me” laid out by the talented youngster in this song, he shows that he is definitely one to watch as he continues to hone his artistry and climb the ladder of success in music city and the wider community.

Caleb Seth is a breath of fresh air in country music and a new voice that brings a little bit of excitement along the way, and with ‘Ride’ he further enhances his ever-growing reputation whilst pushing the envelope by being bold enough to not bow down to what critics say country music should sound like.
