The Southern Gothic Announce New Single ‘Past Midnight’
Nashville band The Southern Gothic are an exciting music outfit who are continuing to push the boundaries of what country music is by incorporating brilliant Americana sounds into their eclectic stylistic making them one of the most talented groups to be emerging onto the market.
Previously they have shared a selection of standout albums that blurred the lines between traditional country and alternative rock before taking a hiatus in 2016 and it was during that time away that frontman Connor Christian dug deep into his musical roots where he decided to move The Southern Gothic’s sound beyond the realms of trad country.
The result of that sonic realisation means the band now bring together a fantastic fusion of soft rock, country, pop, and Americana to create a sound that is uniquely their own and now they are set to return with their brand new single ‘Past Midnight’ which droops on Friday, October 23rd.
The track is a nod to living in the moment and not overthink what happened or what’s on the horizon and features an irresistible hook and dynamic production making it a major standout from The Southern Gothic as they continue to push the envelope throughout their musical offerings.
Speaking about the forthcoming release and the sonic influences, Connor says: “Because I love Chris Stapleton or Shovels and Rope, that means I can’t love Sia and Tame Impala or Young the Giant? That’s crazy. I love music and I want to be able to explore – where EVER that takes me”.
