Sarah Darling Covers ‘River’ For BCMA’s ‘Country Christmas’ Project

Earlier this month we teamed up with the British Country Music Association (BCMA) for their brilliant Country Christmas video project and we partnered with them to bring you a gorgeous, exclusive performance of the classic carol ‘Silent Night’ from the UK crossover trio The Adelaides.

And now we have once again joined forces, this time to bring you a stunning rendition of ‘River’ from Sarah Darling. The Joni Mitchell classic is a long-time favorite Christmas track of the US sensation and her version is truly spectacular as she delivers the heartfelt lyrical story with crystal clear vocals.

The live rendition of the holiday fan favorite has been recorded by Darling at her Nashville home that she shares with her British husband James, and adorable pet dog Wellington (Welly), and it is a truly spectacular vocal display from the adopted Brit who has become an integral part of the British country scene in recent years.

Her voice is as smooth as velvet as she performs a breathtaking cover of ‘River’ with an acoustic guitar as the only musical backdrop proving that her voice needs very little accompaniment to sound absolutely divine. She really is one of this generation’s most talented singers and this video brings home that sentiment.
