Bree Jaxson Releases New Single ‘Make Me Hate You’
On-the-rise country music performer Bree Jaxson is back with her best single yet – the impressive ‘Make Me Hate You’ is a brilliant offering from the multi-talented singer/songwriter and one that pushes her toward the cusp of global chart and radio success thanks to its standout soundscape.
Overlayed with Jaxson’s powerful vocal control this a song that brings together a truly stellar fusion of genre styles including country, pop, rock, and jazz making it stand out from the current crop of country crossover tracks on playlists at this moment in time which gives it a platform to shine.
As an artist, Bree Jaxson has a unique backstory with her being an Afghanistan Combat War Veteran and is also a serving Deputy Commander Cyberspace for US Air National Guard (USANG) which gives her incredible strength as she pours her vulnerability into her songwriting.
Speaking about her latest release, Bree says: “This song still breaks my heart every time I hear it. I wrote this from a very vulnerable and confused place. My husband and I were separated at the time and couldn’t figure out whether to pull the trigger on divorce. We knew we loved each other, but it wasn’t working. Nothing major had happened between us we just couldn’t get on the same page and I remember after seeing him, feeling like I wish he would do something to make me hate him so this choice would be easier and that’s when I wrote a song about it.”
It’s a poignant starting point for a lyrical story and the emotive power ballad works perfectly for Bree Jaxson as it allows for her to showcase her incredible soaring vocal range, and gives her the opportunity to peel back the layers and show the sensitivity of her heart and soul.
