SmithField Announce New EP ‘New Town’
On-the-rise country music duo SmithField consisting of multi-talented singer/songwriters Jennifer Fielder and Trey Smith have formally announced the exciting details of their brand new EP ‘New Town’ which will be dropping across all leading digital download and streaming platforms on June 16th.
The forthcoming record from the fast-rising pair will feature six brand new songs including the recently released hit singles ‘We’ll Figure It Out’, ‘Sunday Best’, and ‘Something Sexy’ – it is set to be one of the most impressive bodies of work to be shared this year within the genre.
The collection will see SmithField putting all their experience and sonic inspirations onto one incredible tracklist, having been a duo for more than a decade this past few years they have seen their star rapidly rise and are now one of the most revered acts across the scene and as they move further into the mainstream sphere this project will no doubt kick-start an exciting new musical chapter.
Speaking about the EP, SmithField say: “We have been a duo for a decade and truly feel this new music, the stories we tell, the harmony, the heart, and uniqueness of our vocal blend we bring to the table with it will be a game-changer for us. We have never put out music that has felt more genuine to who SmithField is and what we are all about than this. You can’t listen to one song on here and not know it’s a SmithField song. We are ready to break the glass ceiling that has been absent in our genre for quite some time and we are so excited to finally have it out in the world. This is just the beginning.”
This new body of music really does feel like a fresh new start for the incredibly talented duo and as they look to continue breaking barriers and making waves across the country scene this EP will spearhead that movement for them and push them to the forefront of the genre.
