Runaway June Announce New EP ‘Backstory’
Award-winning esteemed country outfit Runaway June are one of the most charming, and talented bands on the circuit at the moment and their stunning roots and country blended soundscape allows them to stand out in the crowd and create music that is 100 hundred per cent their own.
And as their global reach and appeal continues to grow at a rapid rate, the three-piece have formally announced the details of their forthcoming EP ‘Backstory’ – the upcoming three-track collection will be dropping across all leading digital download and streaming platforms from Friday, August 20th.
The EP sees Runaway June delivering a truly spectacular soundtrack that is steeped in classic rootsy sounds and drenched with breathtaking vocal harmonies, whilst the tracklist brings together bluegrass vibes throughout the songs which focus on heartbreak, break-ups and moving on to a new phase.
With all three members of Runaway June – Naomi Cooke, Natalie Stovall and Jennifer Wayne – all now happily married and settled, ‘Backstory’ weaves the story arc of where it all begins, before finding a happily ever after and the one – it’s an authentic soundtrack from the three multi-talented women.
To bring the EP to life, the award-winning group teamed up with Dann Huff who produced ‘Forget About That’, and ‘Heartbreak Amnesia’, and Mark Trussell who crafted ‘T’Shirt’, with all three songs featuring an eclectic and standout sonic style that elevates the lyrical stories of each and showcases the ladies’ vocals.
