Bobby Kendrick Releases Debut Single ‘Drinking Songs’

On-the-rise country music performer Bobby Kendrick has arrived on the ever-growing scene in style with the release of his anthemic, up-tempo debut single titled ‘Drinking Songs’, a track that allows him to set a marker for his sonic soundscape and showcase that he is a hugely exciting talent.

The song sees Bobby paying homage to country hits from years gone by including Alabama’s ‘Dixieland Delight’, and Brad Paisley’s ‘Whiskey Lullaby’ whilst also making you want to leave those sad, mournful drinking songs in the past where they belong – this is all about the fun times.

The feel-good ‘Drinking Songs’ has been expertly crafted by Bobby Kendrick alongside Nashville hitmakers Ali Munoz, and Dallas Jack with the trio putting their heads together to come up with a release that brilliantly plays on the phrase “drinking songs” and flips it right around.

Speaking about his inaugural offering, Bobby says: “Imagine going to a writers’ round, where every artist played sad country songs. Then imagine, the MC coming up to you and saying, “I’m giving you an extra song, but step it up, ’cause I’m tired of hearing these drinking songs!” So that’s what I did. I quit drinking songs.”

It’s a wonderful debut release from an artist who knows exactly where he wants his style to fit and where he wants to take it. Bobby Kendrick isn’t afraid to mix things up in order to create a lane for himself within the market and with this track, he has shown that he has the ability to become a huge breakout star.
