Chris Stapleton Releases New Single ‘Arkansas’

US country music icon Chris Stapleton is currently gearing up for the release of his brand new and highly anticipated studio album ‘Starting Over’ which is the fourth record of his phenomenal career so far. And as the build-up to the LP continues, Stapleton has shared yet another single off the tracklist in the form of ‘Arkansas’.

The latest release is the third song to be lifted off the upcoming body of work and was penned by Chris alongside Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell and is a direct follow-up to the previous offerings of the standout ‘Cold’, and the majorly impressive title-track.

With ‘Arkansas’, Chris Stapleton has set a marker for what’s to come from the upcoming ‘Starting Over’ project thanks to the standout rock-n-roll production of the anthemic offering, and the brilliantly stellar lyrical story that is weaved throughout the classic country-rock stomper.

Speaking about the track during a live show last year, Chris stated: “It wasn’t that long ago that I had a birthday, and I happen to like fast cars, somebody here might like fast cars, I don’t know. So my wife bought me a fast car, but the fast car was in Oklahoma City, so me and JT [Cure] back there on the bass got dropped off in Oklahoma City and we drove like a bat out of hell through the Ozark Mountains all the way to Nashville, Tennessee, and that’s what this song is all about.”

It’s a real standout release from Stapleton thanks to the impressive guitar riffs, and thoughtful lyrical approach, this is pure country-rock and it has hit written all over it. Chris Stapleton is one of the finest country music stars of our generation and he has delivered once again with this single.
