EXCLUSIVE: Lost Saints Talk Debut Single ‘We Don’t Fight’

Lost Saints are an exciting new pop-country trio taking the scene by storm with the release of their outstanding debut single ‘We Don’t Fight’, and now with their second offering ‘Hook Up’ which is another impressive anthem that showcases their stunning vocal harmonies and stellar lyrical ability.

Here we chat exclusively to Lost Saints to find out more about their inaugural release:

Congratulations on the release of your debut single, how are you finding the response so far?

The response has been great! “We Don’t Fight” has been out for a little over a month now and we couldn’t be happier with how it’s performing!

What made you decide to share “We Don’t Fight” as your first official single?

The song has been around since we formed the band and it was one of the first songs we sang together. It always gets a great response live as well. The harmonies are really solid on the track and we felt like it really showcased who we are as a group. It just felt natural for “We Don’t Fight” to be the first song we released.

What was the main inspiration behind the lyrical story?

We Don’t Fight is an emotional ballad about learning to let go of a broken relationship. It takes a deep look into everything that was lost in hopes of finding something good in the aftermath. Unfortunately, that something good is a simple realization that at least “we don’t fight anymore”.

Can you tell us a little about the writing and recording process for the track?

We had a blast getting this song to come to life. Having A-list guys like Jeff King and Tommy White track on it really took our vision to the next level. Our good friend Wayne Haun helped us produce the vocals and everything was mixed by the talented Joe Carrell. It is something we are very proud of and can’t wait for people to finally hear. We had a blast in the studio! Our friend Wayne Haun produced the vocals for our single and we tracked at Omni with our engineer, Joe Carrell. They are both great to work with and great at what they do.

What are you hoping listeners take away from this track?

Our hope is that the song helps bring closure or healing to anyone who has been in a similar situation. Everyone goes through a breakup at one point or another during their life, so we feel the song is very relatable. Music is a great way to mend wounds and we think “We Don’t Fight” is one of those songs that can do that.

Do you have any set goals and targets in mind with what you want to achieve with this release?

With this being our debut single our goal is to introduce ourselves to the larger Country Music community. While we’ve been a band for three years and have been able to connect with fans and have received a great response at our live shows, this is our first-time releasing music to streaming platforms. We want to broaden our audience and continue to connect with fans in as many ways as possible.

What do you think when you hear comparisons of your sound to other successful country music trios like Lady A?

It’s always flattering to be compared to an act as talented and successful as Lady A; however, we always want to maintain the unique sound that we’ve worked so hard to develop over the last three years.

With sharing your debut single this year, can we expect more new music soon?

Absolutely, you can expect more music soon! “We Don’t Fight” released June 12th and we plan on putting out the follow-up single later this summer. We also have an acoustic version of “We Don’t Fight” that is also out now. So, stay tuned!

Being a new band on the scene, what are you looking to bring to the market?

Our main goal is to put out quality material. We want to connect with people on a personal level and give them a product that they’ll hopefully listen to for years to come.

What else can we expect from you guys in the future?

We have several irons in the fire! We’ve been working on new music, that’s always our main focus. We just released a new single “Hook Up” which you can hear on all streaming platforms. We were recently invited to perform on two episodes of “The Dailey & Vincent Show” that airs on Opry Circle TV. We’re also in the pre-production process of filming a concept video for “We Don’t Fight”.
