Sound Lounge Announce ‘Tapestry Rewoven’ Livestream

Music journalist Paul Sexton has formally announced details of the forthcoming ‘Tapestry Rewoven’ 50th-anniversary livestream which will be taking place at the famous London venue on Tuesday, February 23rd with all performers and hosts adhering to current lockdown restrictions.

The curated virtual showcase will stage a wonderful recreation of Carole King’s quadruple Grammy-winning landmark album ‘Tapestry’ with digital tickets available to purchase for £5 from thesoundlounge.org.uk with the event hosted by Sexton, and singer/songwriter Hannah White.

All funds raised through ticket sales will go to the Sound Lounge venue which is one of London’s most iconic grassroots live music spaces – a place that has been hit hard by lockdown rules and a lack of government funding like many venues across the UK so any money is vital to ensure it’s upkeep.

Among the exciting line-up of stars taking to the stage will be UK award-winning country/Americana music influenced performers KT Tunstall, and Robert Vincent making for a stunning roots soundscape which will see them showcasing gorgeous new versions of the ‘Tapestry’ collection.

Speaking about the forthcoming event, Paul Sexton says: “The response from artists about involved in the livestream has been incredibly enthusiastic. That’s a measure of what a genuine classic this album is, and to have such great musicians remaking it is a really exciting prospect.”
