The CMA Announce Live-Stream Event
With this year’s CMA Fest being canceled due to mass gathering restrictions currently in place in the face of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic, the Country Music Association have announced plans for a star-studded live-stream event which will be taking place this July.
The online festival will stream across Facebook and YouTube on Wednesday, July 1st at 5 pm CT/6 pm ET/11 pm UK and will feature an array of country music’s biggest stars whilst the “CMA Summer Stay-Cay sponsored by Budweiser Nitro Gold,” will be presented by Jimmie Allen, and Lindsay Ell.
More than 50 acts will perform live for fans across the globe who will be able to tune in from the comfort and safety of their own homes. The online festival will also include Q&As, games, and many more fun activities during the collaborative summertime celebration of country music.
In moving the CMA Fest online the organisation are able to keep the legacy of CMA Fest, the world’s longest-running Country Music festival taking place in Music City; Nashville annually since 1972, alive and allow fans to enjoy the music as usual although in a different capacity this time around.
The full line-up for the online streaming event will be officially announced in the coming days across the CMA Fest app and cmasummerstaycay.com whilst the annual CMA Fest returns to Downtown Nashville next year across the June 10-13 weekend.
