The Rising Share ‘Ain’t Nobody Got Me Here But Me’ Video

Back last Friday , on-the-rise country/rock duo The Rising shared their most personal song to date with ‘Ain’t Nobody Got Me Here But Me’ telling the story of the struggles of being an independent musician – a timely message especially during these extremely trying times for artists.

And as the single continues to build momentum and rack up the streaming numbers across digital platforms the pair; Chris and Chantelle have now shared the official music video for the track to elevate it even further and add another dimension to the already stellar release strategy.

The standout visual from The Rising looks back on their lives and careers as musicians and all the things that have led them to the point they are currently at, taking a look back at archive footage of the duo from their earliest live performances, right through to past music videos making for a striking video.

Speaking about the track, The Rising said: “The song itself is probably the most personal song we have ever written. It is written about the inner battles we face as independent musicians and all the sacrifices we make in the pursuit of our dreams. Be it a steady income, the ability to have a comfortable life, the ‘normal’ life path, and of course dealing with the constant rejection. Knowing that your love of music will carry you forward. However, what happens when love isn’t enough to get you through and you want to give up. But we learn to accept this situation and as much as we may moan about it and wish for a more comfortable life we know that we cannot blame anyone for the decisions we make and we have to live with those decisions. There “ain’t nobody got me here but me”.

It’s an honest reflection of the music industry and one that will no doubt strike a chord with performers across the globe whilst the official music video enhances the lyrical story and gives it further layers allowing for it to become a solid foundation to build future single and album releases on.
