Ward Thomas Share ‘Sweet Time’ Video

As the build-up to their fourth studio album ‘Invitation‘ continues, British country crossover duo Ward Thomas have shared the official music video for their newest single ‘Sweet Time’ which is acting as the lead release off the LP which drops on Friday, October 2nd via WTW Music.

The single sees the twin sisters experimenting with their ever-growing sonic sound this time incorporating synth-pop vibes into their natural country acoustic style which allows for them to add another dimension to their already impressive stylistic as they continue to showcase their impressive harmony-laden output.

Speaking about their upcoming album, Ward Thomas say: “2020 has been a year full of learning, which we feel has changed our approach to this album. We recorded a lot of it from our cottage, and working remotely came with its share of challenges, but also new opportunities. Although recorded during uncertain times, the record feels like an invitation to a more positive time; to a more open and exciting new chapter. We named it after a lyric in the song ‘Open Your Mind’ because the album feels like an invitation – whether it be figuratively, an invitation to self-reflect, or physically, to a time when we can all party again.”

And as they continue to get word out about the forthcoming project, Ward Thomas have shared the official music video for their newest single ‘Sweet Time’. The clip was filmed earlier this summer at the luscious Laverstocke Park Farm just as the lockdown restrictions began to ease in England and the clip has brought the song to life perfectly capturing the summer vibe.

Showing off the girls fun personalities the video has captured the youthful, exuberant side of the duo and has allowed for them to capture the feel-good summery feeling that is scattered throughout the songs lyrical and production approach which in turns makes for an outstanding visual.

Speaking about the Thomas Broadhead directed video, Catherine Ward Thomas says: “The song is about taking your ‘Sweet Time’ in a relationship and we felt it ties in nicely with a long and meandering bike ride through life enjoying the view. Every video we’ve shot before has always been much more in the hands of a company or label but this time it was much more like a bunch of friends having fun which was what we wanted to convey in the final result.”
