Twinnie Announces National Anthem Performance at Wembley Stadium

Following on from the release of her latest hit single ‘Welcome to the Club’ earlier this month, a stunning debut performance at the Country Radio Seminar in Nashville, and a May tour announcement, pop-country sensation Twinnie has this week announced possibly the biggest live gig of her career so far.

The hitmaker took to her social media channels yesterday ( Friday, February 25th) to confirm that she will have the honour of performing the English National Anthem this Sunday (February 27th) at Wembley Stadium ahead of kick-off in the Carabao Cup Final between Liverpool FC and Chelsea FC.

The kick-off is at 4.30 pm GMT with the game and build-up being broadcast across Sky Sports from 3.30 pm – the match will be contested by Liverpool and Chelsea with Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel going head-to-head to win the first Domestic Cup competition of the 2021-22 season.

Twinnie will take to the pitch ahead of the game kicking off to perform the English National Anthem in front of the 90,000 strong crowd and millions of viewers around the world – this is a huge moment for the singer/songwriter and an incredible time for the country music scene in the UK too.

Fans of Twinnie will be able to tune in to catch the momentous moment as the York native performs the National Anthem for the first time in her career with the performance marking her first appearance at Wembley Stadium since she was a backing dancer at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball several years ago.
