Kerri Watt Announces New EP ‘Chapter One’

Multi-talented British performer Kerri Watt is getting ready to release a series of EP’s and the first to be shared will be the country music influenced collection ‘Chapter One’ on Friday, October 2nd with the record set to showcase Watt’s showstopping vocal control and standout songwriting skill.

The forthcoming project will include a stellar tracklist of several self-produced offerings and also songs that have been wonderfully produced by Machine in Texas most of which were due to appear on her debut album that was slated for release this year but has been delayed due to the current climate.

Leading the EP is the stunning cover of NEEDTOBREATHE’s ‘Let’s Stay Home’ which was premiered by Kerri Watt via a live-stream performance this past month and her rendition is simply sublime thanks to her powerful vocal and effortlessly beautiful delivery that re-works this classic into a brilliant new rendition.

Speaking about choosing to cover ‘Let’s Stay Home’, Kerri states: “their [NEEDTOBREATHE] music is a perfect blend of country, rock and pop – three of the genres prominent in my upcoming album. I loved the idea of doing a stripped back acoustic cover song with some country-style picking and harmonies inspired by Southern American acts like The Chicks and Little Big Town.”

Whilst speaking her lives-stream shows, Keri says: “I thought it would be fun to portray the reality of putting on a live stream show and the minutes leading up to it; albeit with a little twist! Getting creative with music videos at home has been really fun and challenging; it’s amazing what you can make with a few household items and a half-decent camera!”.
