EXCLUSIVE: Cole Bradley Talks ‘Love Made Me’

On-the-rise country music sensation Cole Bradley has recently wowed with the release of his standout new single ‘Love Made Me’, which has been followed up with the official release of the standout music video which brings the lyrical story to life and captures the essence of the song perfectly.

Here we speak exclusively with Cole to discuss the track and its visual in more detail:

Congratulations on the new single, how have you found the response so far?
Well, thank you so much! The response has been great. I think that a lot of people are liking this new direction. I’ve never actually put a full-fledged love song out as a single before so it’s great to see that people are enjoying it!

The track is beautifully structured, where did you look for inspiration when you were bringing this vision to life?
Well, I appreciate it. I think that the inspiration came from an honest place. I have definitely been in a relationship when I was in the “honeymoon phase” and have fallen “head over heels” for someone. I think we did a good job of transferring that universal experience into a song that everyone can relate to.

What are your hopes and goals for this single release?
For every release, you’re hoping that it catches traction in some sort of way. But for this release, I just wanted people to get a strong taste of what’s coming music-wise. “Love Made Me” is a super fun and upbeat song and I believe that it sets up some really great songs being released down the road.

You’ve also recently shared the official music video; how does it feel to have the visual out in the world?
Ah, I love this music video! In my opinion, the visual really helps paint the story in an even stronger way. It’s a super relatable track but the music video really allows the song to be portrayed in a new light.

Were you involved in the video treatment, and directorship in any way?
To be honest, I was not. That was all our amazing director Oliver Banyard. He’s the expert when it comes to the treatment and directing so I just follow his incredible lead. I could never do what Oliver does – it takes a real special kind of skill!

Can you tell us a little about the filming day for the clip?
Filming was a blast. Oliver made the script incredibly fun so it made shooting the video really easy. The lead actress Izzy Dilger has been a life-long friend of mine so there was already some great chemistry, to begin with. In addition, we had my sister Brittney, my friend Kody and Izzy’s fiancé Chris in the video so it was a party!

What are you hoping the video brings to the overall release strategy of the single?
The video is an important part of the release because everyone loves a strong visual. The video is another great way to connect the listener and the artist and tell the story in a different way.

How do you feel the addition of a music video adds to the success of a track?
As I mentioned earlier, my hope is that the video helps give the song even more personality than it already has. The song itself is super upbeat but I think the video makes it even more interesting. From a marketing point of view, you often attract a different and sometimes bigger audience so a great video can really ramp up momentum for a track.

Do you have any set goals in mind for what you’d like to achieve with the video?
Hmm- I am hoping for at least 100k views but that’s just the minimum! The more the better, obviously.

What do you hope fans take away from the song and its video? 
Like with every song I release, my hope is that my fans can connect with the story I am trying to tell and relate with it in some sort of way. That is why I play music for a living so I can make people feel something that will connect back to a memory. I hope that this can take somebody back to when they had a “head over heels” type relationship!
