Tim Prottey-Jones Shares Video Cover Of ‘A Spaceman Came Travelling’

Fresh from releasing his stellar debut solo single ‘Bite The Bullet’ earlier in the year British country/sock singer/songwriter Tim Prottey-Jones is ready to bring a little magic to the festive season this December with his gorgeous rendition of Chris de Burgh’s ‘A Spaceman Came Travelling’.

The track has been a lifelong favorite of Prottey-Jones’ and this Christmas felt like the perfect time for him to share his own version of the classic where he puts his own country crossover spin on the song reworking it into his own take allowing for it to take on an exciting new dimension.

To accompany the release, the UK sensation has also shared a music video that has been shot at home during the current lockdown restrictions in place across the country. The wintery visual has also been produced by the multi-talented performer making it an impressive DIY project.

Speaking about the release, Tim Prottey-Jones says: “I just really wanted to do a brilliant and slightly underrated song and artist so, me justice. There’s something quite haunting about the track and so I played on that with the atmospheric piano track and layers of pedal steel to bring country influence to it”.

With his stirring rendition of the Chris de Burgh holiday classic, Tim has certainly achieved his goal of doing the song justice and has delivered a truly evocative version that breathes new life into the original whilst retaining its charm and wistful vibes. This is an amazing offering from the performer.
