Nikita Skogen Announces New Single ‘I’m My Own Person’
Following on from the release of her hit breakout debut single ‘Break Your Heart’ back in the final quarter of 2020, fast-rising country-pop music singer/songwriter Nikita Skogen returns in February next year with the release of her brand new sophomore offering titled ‘I’m My Own Person’.
The forthcoming track from the on-the-rise performer has been co-written with renowned music producer Davis Branch and the amazingly talented country singer/songwriter Erika Raen with the trio of musicians and writers perfectly crafting a standout crossover offering.
The lyrical story embedded throughout takes on a different vibe to Nikita Skogen’s debut and instead of being a pure love song is instead a story of breaking free and being your own person regardless of what others say you should be doing or feeling making for an inspirational message.
Speaking about the upcoming track, Nikita says: “I’m no longer your version, I’m my own person. That might give you an insight into what the song is about. I’m just so proud of this one, a lot of hard work is put into it and I can’t wait for February and for everyone to hear it. I think this song will show a different side of me as an artist”.
It’s a brilliant release from Skogen and one that allows for her to show another dimension to her sonic soundscape and deliver a different lyrical vibe throughout whilst displaying a variety of country music styles via the song’s production backdrop. This is a wonderful release from an artist on the rise.
