Nick Leidl Releases Debut Single ‘Friend Zone’

Best known on the live circuit as a comedian in Los Angeles, Nick Leidl is now taking a bold step into the music industry with the release of his stellar debut country single titled ‘Friend Zone’ which sees him stepping out of his comfort zone and into a whole new world of performing.

The track was co-written by Nick alongside Cooper Walker who also produced the single with the lyrical story focusing on what it is like to be truly stuck in the friend zone with a person that you have now developed deeper feelings for – a relatable tale for many across the globe.

It is a poignant yet humorous exploration of the old-age tale and is one that allows for Nick Leidl to take on a new career move in a world that is ever-changing especially in these times of COVID which resulted in the shutdown of the comedic word back last year allowing for Nick to hone in on his love of songwriting.

Speaking about his detour into music, Leidl states: “COVID shut down the life and grind I had as a comedian in LA and allowed me the time to explore another creative talent that I always felt I had – singing/songwriting. The majority of the songs are heartfelt, yet humorous, look at trying to figure out the second half of my life”.

It’s wonderful to see a creative like Nick Leidl stepping out of the confines of what we’re used to seeing from him and being bold enough to explore other avenues in a time period when much of the entertainment world is still shut down due to the ongoing global pandemic and lockdowns.
