James Wood Releases New Single ‘Blue Eyed Woman’

British singer/songwriter James Wood is taking a detour from his traditional Indie roots to crossover into the country-folk realm with his latest solo single titled ‘Blue Eyed Woman’ which is available to download and stream right now before it impacts country radio on April 30th.

With a wealth of experience in the industry under his belt as a band member during which he performed across multiple UK tours where he supported the likes of Madness and The Rifles, he is now ready to pursue his own personal musical ambitions with an exciting solo sound.

Working hard on his solo career over the past few years Wood’s early recording have been done a shoestring budget but the lack of funds and state-of-the-art recording equipment hasn’t hampered his musical flow and his newest release is a testament to that huge effort he has put into his creativity.

Speaking about the track, James Wood says: “Blue Eyed Woman was written about not feeling good enough for the person you love most. Sometimes, speaking about your own difficulties is hard and it can affect things. This song is acknowledging and accepting that people are not perfect. However, getting through tough times is what makes us stronger “I’ll love and care, always be there, for you, my Blue Eyed Woman”.

It’s a wonderful guitar-led offering from an artist well and truly finding his feet within the country/folk world with his own unique melodic style that creates a dynamic foundation for his further releases as he looks to build a solid following within the growing British market.
