Old Dominion Release New Single ‘I Was On A Boat That Day’
Country music band Old Dominion are back with their first taste of new music since their self-titled studio album back in 2019, with their newest single titled ‘I Was On A Boat That Day’ which is available to stream and download right now across all leading digital platforms.
The Grammy-nominated Nashville-based group have stayed largely out of the spotlight in terms of new musical releases this past year but they have burst back onto the scene a massive way with this impressive track that shows they are ready to kick-start an exciting new musical chapter.
It’s a hugely exhilarating release from Old Dominion as they create a standout soundscape that has all the hallmarks of their stellar sound whilst the tangible, chantable chorus creates a dynamic vibe that is buoyed by the anthemic arena-ready production backdrop making this one of the best singles of the year so far.
Speaking about the track, frontman Matthew Ramsey says: “When you listen to ‘I Was On a Boat That Day’ you are hearing us in the full joy of making music together. From the moment I counted the band off, we were smiling from beginning to end. The tequila was flowing, the laughter was loud, and we knew in that moment we were creating something that would bring people as much joy as it was bringing us.”
Along with sharing new music, Old Dominion will also be heading out on tour later this year with the string of dates kicking off on July 17th which marks the band’s first full-scale headline run of dates since they toured across the country back in 2019 in support of their last hit record.
