Tenillie Townes Announces New Single ‘Girl Who Didn’t Care’
Critically acclaimed country music singer/songwriter Tenille Townes is currently gearing up for the release of her sophomore record and to kick-start the next phase of her career the talented vocalist has announced that her brand new single ‘Girl Who Didn’t Care’ will drop on June 25th.
The forthcoming offering from the uniquely gifted performer will be distributed globally across all leading digital download and streaming platforms via Columbia Nashville in partnership with RCA Records and will arrive almost exactly one year to the day from when she released her debut album ‘The Lemonade Stand’.
For ‘Girl Who Didn’t Care’ Tenille Townes joined forces with renowned songwriters David Pramik and Steph Jones to craft the impressive story arc that runs throughout the track with the trio of musicians showcasing that they are a dream team when it comes to penning hit country songs.
Speaking about the new single, Tenille says: “Something happens to all of us at some point in our lives when we start noticing the cracks. We start realizing that we care about what somebody else thinks. That we want to belong and be accepted, and we’re scared we won’t be. We start measuring our worth against everything else around us. Childhood innocence doesn’t just wait around. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. But the wonder? I think that’s always a part of us if we want to remember it.”
It’s an excellent base to build a lyrical story from and that feeling of wanting to fit in, and be accepted is something that will resonate with listeners of all ages around the world – there’s a universal theme there that has the potential to uplift and make fans feel heard and listened to.
