Katy Hurt Announces New Single ‘Sounds Good In A Bar’
On-the-rise country/Americana singer/songwriter Katy Hurt is currently gearing up for a truly huge few months that will see her setting a marker with the release of her long-awaited and hotly anticipated debut album which is being spearheaded by brand new single ‘Sounds Good In A Bar’.
The forthcoming track is the first official song to be lifted off of the upcoming LP and it will be available to download and stream across all leading digital platforms from October 8th offering listeners a little taste of what’s to come from the record that promises to be a hugely impressive collection.
In support of the album, and new single Katy Hurt will also be hitting the road for a full-scale headline tour that will take her to multiple cities across the UK throughout October and November with the gigs expected to be a major highlight of the live calendar this year thanks to her outstanding vocal and on-stage presence.

Speaking about the song, Katy says: “Despite the excitement and glamour of heavy touring and playing bigger shows, ‘Sounds Good In A Bar’ is a reflection on the odd jobs I’ve done from working in bars and cafe’s to pumping gas on the overnight shift. It’s daydreaming during those shifts and venting frustrations to friends that led to the idea for this song”.
