Alyssa Bonagura Releases ‘New Wings (Acoustic)’

Earlier this year, US-based country music singer/songwriter Alyssa Bonagura made a splash with the stunning and reflective single ‘New Wings’ which gave life to the feelings many have felt since the pandemic – that freedom of beginning again and shedding your old skin post lockdown.

It was an excellent offering from the esteemed vocalist who also won a host of new fans here in the UK during a string of live shows last month including her opening slot on Twinnie’s headline tour date in London on the penultimate gig of the run of dates, and Bonagura’s star is only continuing to rise.

And as ‘New Wings’ continues to rack up the global streams, the multi-skilled vocalist has now released the gorgeous acoustic version of the hit bringing a fresh perspective to the lyrical story whilst giving her vocal the room to breathe so that it can take centre stage and truly shine like never before.

Along with sharing the gorgeous audio for the stripped-back rendition of ‘New Wings’, Alyssa Bonagura has also filmed a music video for the track as she strips the production back to its core and delivers a visual representation of the song allowing fans to find a home in the heartfelt lyrics.

Speaking about the release, Alyssa says: “I wanted to release this video for everyone who has experienced a challenging eighteen months and who feels like they’re getting back to the core of who they are again. When you strip a song back to the bones of what it is, that’s when you can really hear the lyrics and feel the meaning. My vision with this was to get to the heart of the message. Our hard times are there to remind us that each day is a new opportunity to become the people we want to be, and that’s what this song represents for me. I would also like anyone who’s still struggling to know that there’s always hope and always someone who cares”.
