Sarah Darling Shares ‘Pretender’ Video
Sarah Darling delivers a striking visual aesthetic with the official music video for her latest single ‘Pretender’ which she co-wrote alongside Cameron Jaymes, and Emily Shackelton in Nashville with the trio of writers joining forces to craft a truly stellar California-country vibed offering.
The gorgeous sun-drenched clip was filmed in sunny California and directed by the incredible talent that is videographer Tara Diiorio who has done a spellbinding job of bringing the dreamy song to life in a dynamic and eye-catching way that perfectly summarises the whole vibe of the song.
The gorgeous blue skies, combined with the long highway and lush greenery make for a breathtaking backdrop for Sarah Darling to deliver a dreamy visual representation of the ‘Pretender’ lyrics which tell of lost love, and those “what could have been” thoughts that often occur down the road.
Darling is an artist who is always able to transport listeners to the core of the lyrical story of any song she creates and she has done that once again with ease with this beautiful music video that is chilled, and dream-like, whilst retaining the longing of the track’s overall message and vibe.
Speaking about ‘Pretender’ via her official social media channels, Sarah Darling stated: “This song, this season, digging deeper, has brought out so much of who I am. It feels SO GOOD to have out. I feel FREE”.
