Alan Fletcher Releases New Single ‘Joey Loves Christmas’

Fans of the TV show Neighbours will instantly recognise Alan Fletcher who portrays Dr Karl Kennedy and now country/Americana fans will also become familiar with the actor who is aiming for global chart success this festive season with the release of his holiday single ‘Joey Loves Christmas’.

The new track from the esteemed creative talent follows on from his previous yuletide offering ‘If You Want A Happy Christmas’ which was shared a few years back by the multi-talented artist – that song was a barnstorming big band production whilst this years single will pull at the heartstrings.

The heartfelt lyrical story has been inspired by the fact that despite the cheer that surrounds the Christmas holidays the festive season can in fact be a lonely and extremely difficult time for many and Alan Fletcher wanted to share a song that tells the tale of the sense of hopelessness when everyone around you seems so happy.

And with ‘Joey Loves Christmas’, he has certainly triumphed in his quest to craft a Christmas track that will make listeners have a deeper and more introspective view of what the festivities mean for lots of people around the world who are struggling right now – and with the current climate, there are more than ever.

Speaking about the release, Alan says: “My goal in writing “Joey” was to give voice to the fact that Christmas can be a difficult time for many people who are dealing with loss and heartbreak. I hope this new song will bring a tear to the listener’s eye and then a smile to their lips as young Joey, successfully deals with his first Christmas without his mother.”
