Ana Cristina Cash Announces ‘Mele Kalikimaka’ Cover

Ana Cristina Cash is one of the most exciting country-influenced artists around at the moment especially as she incorporates a number of genre styles into her eclectic sound included Blues and Americana that come together to create one harmonious stellar blend that allows her to stand out from the rest.

Married to John Carter, the only son of Johnny Carter Cash, and June Carter Cash music is the main source of entertainment in their family home and that rich country roots sound is massively evident throughout Ana’s own musical output as she looks to blend her in-laws’ sound into her own influences.

And having those links to the Cash family history through her beloved husband John means she also has use of Cash Cabin Studio a place where she and John escape to in order to create music together with her hubby often producing many of her tracks making them truly linked by music and love.

And their latest collaboration comes in the form of a classic Christmas cover with Ana Cristina Cash putting her own unique, stunning spin on the Hawaiian Christmas classic ‘Mele Kalikimaka’ which drops on October 23rd, with John Cash doing a wonderful job of producing the song and bringing the best out of his wife’s powerful vocal display.

Speaking about the forthcoming release, Ana Cristina Cash says: “I wanted to record ‘Mele Kalikimaka’ because I was inspired by my little daughter’s love of Hawaii and luaus. Since 2020 has been such a challenging year, I was eager to put out a Christmas song during the holidays that was inspired by bright colors, sunshine, and tropical vacations. I know that many people share my sentiment of wanting to escape and travel right now, so I wanted to capture the spirit of Hawaii. Growing up in South Florida, I celebrated a tropical Christmas every year, surrounded by palm trees. Christmas is a state of mind no matter where you are”.
