Bob Harris Announces Limited Edition ‘Stand By Me’ Vinyl’s

Fresh from sharing the official music video for the 2020 cover of ‘Stand By Me’ which has been put together by Bob Harris alongside Under The Apple Tree with all proceeds going directly to Help Musicians UK, Harris has now announced that there will be a limited run of vinyl’s available.

The official music video and audio features an all-star ensemble of musicians from across multiple genres including a massive roster of homegrown, and international country stars such as The Shires, Darius Rucker, Twinnie, Ward Thomas, Sam Palladio, Jimmie Allen, Laura Oakes, Wildwood Kin, and many, many more.

Along with sharing the stunning video which includes outstanding at home footage from artists, the single campaign via gofundme.com/standbyme2020 has also today (October 13th) reached its target of £10,000 with the goal now being moved to £15,000 in order to support performers throughout the pandemic.

And now it has been confirmed that a limited edition vinyl will be available from December with just 500 copies being created on a 7″ pressing that will feature an instrumental version on the B Side with all funds once again ging to Help Musicians UK with the vinyl being available to pre-order right now ahead of its official release.

The official audio of ‘Stand By Me’ will be available to stream, and download from October 27th exactly 60 years to the day that Ben E. King originally released the song that has stood the test of time and become one of the all-time classic hits and this rendition is a beautiful tribute.
