Clara Bond Announces New EP ‘Backtalker’
On-the-rise country music inspired singer/songwriter Clara Bond is ready to take the New Year by storm with the release of her forthcoming and hotly anticipated new EP titled ‘Backtalker’ with the body of work set to ignite an incredible year of breakout success for the multi-skilled performer.
The upcoming collection from the inspired lyricist and vocalist will be available to stream and download across all leading digital platforms from Friday, January 14th and will include the previously released hit singles ‘You’, ‘Backtalker’, and ‘Wish You Were Here’ alongside new tracks ‘Misbehaving’ and ‘White Confetti.’
It is set to be a truly outstanding tracklist of cross-genre songs that put the spotlight on Clara Bond’s impressive songwriting and vocal talent with the rising star delivering a soundscape that drives into multiple avenues allowing her the opportunity to reach a wide and varied demographic.
This is a coming of age record from the UK artist who crafted the project during lockdown making for a deeply personal offering that came out a dark period of time when the whole world was forced to shut down forcing people and creatives especially to look deeper within themselves for artistic inspiration.
Speaking about the writing process, Clara says: “We wrote the whole EP in lockdown. We were just writing songs that felt good for us at a time when it was crucial to write songs only for my benefit because it was what I needed at the time. It’s nice to now be releasing them, but that almost wasn’t the intention at the time – the songs were a way for me to connect to my own musicality when there was absolutely nothing going on in the world – except watching Friends. They really feel like an honest reflection of what was going on in my brain at the time”.
