Cody Belew’s ‘Hang Your Hat On My Christmas Tree’ Chosen For ‘Dashing In December’ Movie Soundtrack

Earlier this month fast-rising country music talent Cody Belew shared his brilliant original festive single titled ‘Hang Your Hat On My Christmas Tree’ which delivers a much-needed dose of holiday spirit as we begin to welcome the Christmas season into our hearts once again.

And as the standout track continues to build momentum across streaming platforms, and download charts it has now been announced that the hit song will be included in the original Paramount Christmas movie ‘Dashing In December’, giving the track a huge boost as we enter into late November.

‘Hang Your Hat On My Christmas Tree’ will feature on the film’s soundtrack with the script of the trailblazing holiday flick focusing on an LGBTQI+ couple during the holidays will simulcast on the Paramount Network, TV Land, Pop, and Logo, on Sunday, December 13th and promises to become a huge fan favorite.

Speaking about the track, Cody Belew says: “Some songs take months to materialize, and sometimes a song will just write itself, which is exactly what happened with ‘Hang Your Hat On My Christmas Tree.’ I wanted to write a Christmas song that had a little bit of all our favorites sprinkled into the recipe. That way, it would feel like a classic even though it’s brand new. If you’re reminded of your favorite holiday memories or if you’re living new ones while this song is playing, then I’ll have done my job.”

This feels like a huge moment for Cody Belew with his Christmas single being chosen for the Paramount festive movie that is blazing a trail with its storyline. Belew is also a trailblazer in his own right and as he continues to push for global stardom having a song on a movie soundtrack will no doubt bring that goal a little closer.
