Devin Dawson Announces New EP ‘The Pink Slip’

Nashville country music powerhouse Devin Dawson has formally announced that his brand new EP ‘The Pink Slip’ will be releasing on January 15th next year with the eagerly anticipated project being led by the stellar new single ‘Range Over’ that kicks-off the forthcoming record in style.

The future EP has been named for the representation of freedom and sees the vocal sensation building on the edgy confidence that he showcased through his pioneering sound on the ‘Dark Horse’ record and gives him the chance to demonstrate his outstanding artistry via the six-song tracklist.

A master songwriter, Devin is revered for the poetic way he can deliver a lyrical story and is well known as a wordsmith in Music City and with ‘The Pink Slip’ he will look to build on that reputation as he brings to life six incredible new songs that feature stellar lyrics, and incredible production backdrops.

Speaking about the forthcoming record, Devin Dawson says: “I will always be a dark horse, but I have come a long way from the person I was, and I understand more of what it means to be an artist. There are definitely vibes on this EP that I wouldn’t peg for myself, but I like the unexpected nature of doing things that people don’t see coming. I try to reinvent the wheel every single day because I don’t think you ever really arrive, and you can never put your feet up. I want to be honest and vulnerable and take the next step because I always want to be creating music that’s fresh and different from anything I’ve released before. I’m still in black and white, but the background is a little brighter.”

The EP promises to be well worth the three-month wait with it already being pegged as one of the most exciting, and promising records of 2021, as Devin looks to bring a whole new soundscape to the country genre as he continues on the path to global stardom and next year thanks to this project he could get there at the turn of the year.
