Emily Lockett Announces New Single ‘Front Porch’
Emily Lockett has confirmed that her brand new single ‘Front Porch’ will be released on Friday, September 18th and is acting as the lead single off her forthcoming EP project which is set to have a physical release later on in the year with the singer/songwriter confirming the single will be available across all digital and streaming platforms.
The upcoming track is an upbeat country-pop/rock crossover that signals an exciting new era for Lockett as she delivers a fresh new sonic sound ahead of the forthcoming EP with the lyrical story focusing on a breakup and how both parties should have tried harder to save the failing relationship.
The single has been co-produced by Tim Prottey-Jones and Matt Bishop who have worked alongside a stellar team of musicians in order to create the impressive sonic backdrop. Emily and Tim worked on the track remotely right up until the enforced UK lockdown with Emily and Matt then taking over during the lockdown adding additional electric guitar and production elements.
The song offers listeners a gorgeous new sound from Emily Lockett as she continues to push boundaries with her music and incorporate a fusion of crossover sonic stylistics into her musical output and with the brilliant pop/rock addition overlaying the classic country sounds ‘Front Porch’ is a brilliant eclectic release.
Emily is an artist who is always happy to mix production styles in a way to create a unique blend and this track is no different as she kick-starts an exciting new era that acts as the launchpad of her forthcoming and very much anticipated EP which is expected to drop later this year.
