EXCLUSIVE: Cotter Hill Talks New Single ‘Good For Me’

On Friday, April 30th, on-the-rise country music performer, Southeastern Tennessee native, Nashville-based Cotter Hill will release his brand new, and hotly anticipated new single titled ‘Good For Me’ across all leading digital download, and streaming platforms around the world.

Here we chat exclusively with Cotter Hill to discuss the track ahead of its official release later this month:

Your new single releases on the 30th, how excited are you about sharing this track?

I Couldn’t be more excited to share this new track. We’ve been in the studio working hard on it and I can’t wait to show everyone what it’s all about. I hope they love it as much as I do.

Can you give us a little insight into the overall writing and recording experience for this one?

This song was actually written by Arlis Allbritton and Hunter Phelps two amazing songwriters in town. As soon as I heard it I connected with it almost immediately. But going into the studio with this one was special I got the chance to bring my band in and build this song almost from scratch. Definitely an experience I’lll never forget.

What are you hoping your listeners take away from the songs message?

I hope they get the same message as I do. I hope they can relate to the lyrics and whatever they are going through in life they just find the positive side of it all and go out and do something that would be good for them.

How does it feel to be sharing new music during this time?

It feels so good to start releasing new music this year. I couldn’t be happier with how hard my producer, my band, and all the writers on this project have worked. I’m excited to hear the response from people once they hear it. And I’m looking forward to getting back out on the road and sharing it with everyone

This new single follows on from your 2020 EP, how have you found the response to that record so far?

The EP release last year was great I decided to get in the studio and give the fans some new music to help them through the rough year we all had. I did find since shows were all canceled due to COVID it was a little more difficult to get out and really give it the push it needed but I feel like I was still a solid release and everyone loved the songs.

Do you have any set goals in mind for what you’d like to achieve with this song?

My main goal for this song is to reach as many new listeners as possible to help not only get the song out but to bring in new fans that I can continue to grow with.

Can we expect an official music video soon?

Yes we have already filmed for the music video and it will be out at the same time of the single release.

Looking ahead, what else do you have planned for this year?

For the rest of the year, the plan is to keep pushing forward not only with the new single but to follow it up with a few more singles and eventually an EP. Along with continuing to tour and play as many shows as we can to promote all the new music.
