On-the-rise teen country music singer/songwriter Jordana Bryant at just 16 has already showcased a maturity way beyond her young years with music releases that reach a wide and varied cross demographic of listeners and 2022 is expected to be her biggest year yet with plenty of exciting projects in the pipeline.
Here we chat exclusively with Jordana Bryant to find out more about everything that she is working on:
How have you found these past few years seeing your music reach grow?
It’s been so incredible to get to share my music with more people over these last few years. I’m so grateful to everyone who’s been supporting me through this journey and it means so much to me that the music I’m creating resonates with people.
You’ve been writing a lot recently, can we expect a new single and possibly an album soon?
Definitely! Right now I’m working on a bunch of new music that I’m planning to release soon so stay tuned!!
How do you approach your writing sessions?
For a lot of my co-writing sessions, I’ll bring in a few ideas for a chorus or verse that I’ve come up with recently because I feel like having a few ideas to play for everyone to get the session going is really helpful! And it’s so cool to be able to collaborate with the other writers in the room and morph the idea into something new and different!
How have you found the process of juggling your studies alongside pursuing music?
Sometimes it’s difficult to balance my music and my schoolwork, especially when I’m trying to make up for the school work I’ve missed after being out of school for a week or two, but it’s totally worth it to be able to pursue my dream. And I’m so grateful that I only have a few more months of school until I graduate and I can devote all my time to my music!
What’s it been like for these past couple of years with the pandemic, what have been your coping mechanisms?
Honestly, being able to share my music through social media has been such a helpful coping mechanism. During the first few months of the pandemic, I was going live every night for an hour and it really made me feel connected to other people during a time when we all were so isolated. And even now, I still try to go live once a week because I love getting to share my music live and talk with fans!
Now we’re able to have live music again, can we expect any shows from you soon?
I would love to play some shows soon! When I’m in Nashville I try to do a lot of writer’s rounds because I love getting to share new songs I’m working on, and hopefully soon I’ll be able to do some more shows as well!
Looking ahead, what else does 2022 have in store for you?
Once I finish up school in the next few months I’ll be moving to Nashville! This past year I’ve been travelling to Nashville practically every other week, so it will be really nice to finally be able to be in town full-time! And I’ve been working on a ton of new music, so stay tuned for some big announcements coming soon!!
