EXCLUSIVE: Radio Romance Talk New Single ‘Start A Party’

On Friday, June 12th Nashville based recording group Radio Romance will share their brand new single ‘Start A Party’ which is set to be a real step up musically for the four-piece harmony outfit. The band are a huge force across the Nashville scene and with each release, they gain more and more new fans that delight in their gorgeous vocal delivery.

Here we speak exclusively to Radio Romance to talk further about ‘Start A Party’ ahead of its official release tomorrow:

Your new single ‘Start A Party’ drops June 12th, how excited are you to share this record?

We are so excited to finally be releasing some new music this year! With everything going on we were a little delayed, but we are ready to come out swinging in 2020!

What was the main inspiration behind the lyrical story?

The funny and honest truth about the inspiration is that I [Josh Gramling] had just gone through a bad breakup and was writing sad song after sad song. My mom told me I needed to come up with a fun party song instead. So Start A Party was the hook that came to mind.

Can you tell us a little about the writing process for this track?

We had a weekly write set up with our buddy Josh Dunne. We wrote every Wednesday night for years. It involved many Busch lights and writing a lot of our favorite songs to date.

How did you approach the production style for this release?

The production on the past couple of songs has been with Dran Lewis at Dead Bird Studio in Chattanooga. We wanted this song to sound pretty much exactly how it will sound when you see us live. We also wanted it to have a vibe that will make you want to crank up the volume and have fun.

How does it feel to be sharing new music during this time in history?

It’s during tough times like these that the power of music truly shines. Whether it be its ability to make a deep emotional connection to one’s circumstances or its ability to help you forget about those types of things and live in the moment.

What are you hoping fans take away from the song and its message?

We really hope that our fans take this song at face value. The world has been going through a tough time this year. So in case, you forgot, turn up your speakers and we will remind you “How To Start A Party!”

How are you planning on celebrating its release?

We will be holding a virtual single release party through Facebook and the MySet App.

Can we expect this to be a springboard for an album?

This song will just be the beginning of new music in 2020. We have a lot of material in the pipeline that we are very excited about. Whether it ends up being a single, EP, or a full-length album we will leave up to the fans and their reception of the new tunes.

Do you have any touring plans lined up for when it’s safe do so?

We are playing it by ear at this point regarding touring. The safety of our fans is something we take very seriously. That being said we do have some things in the works with some other artists. If we are able we will be back on the road in 2020. We are beyond ready to get back out there and play for some live and rowdy crowds.

What else can we expect from you this year?

We have a lot going on for the rest of the year! We will definitely be continuing to release new music, continue our “virtual touring”, and doing our best to stay connected with our fans. We have a brand new fan club that we just set up that can be found at fanthejam.com/radioromance.
