For King & Country Announce Festive Album ‘A Drummer Boy Christmas’

Multi-Grammy award-winning country music duo For King & Country have formally announced details of their very first full-length festive album ‘A Drummer Boy Christmas’ which will be dropping on October 30th and will no doubt deliver a touch of magic to the forthcoming holiday season.

The Australian duo consisting of brothers Luke and Joel Smallbone always deliver heartfelt, poignant, and thought-provoking tracks that are steeped in classic country sounds, and with this collection of Christmas songs, they have once again brought together a truly outstanding sonic stylistic that will delight their rapidly growing fanbase.

The project stems from a concept that originated from tour rehearsals for a Christmas tour that in turn sparked the musical imagination of For King & Country and inspired them to get into the recording studio in order to create their very first festive LP and ‘A Drummer Boy Christmas’ was born.

Speaking about the upcoming record, King & Country state: “The miracle of Christmas captivated us long ago and has been laced into the DNA of the band. We felt it was the imperfectly perfect time for us to do our small part in telling the story of the redemption that Christmas offers to all of us. So, bake those chocolate chip cookies, make a little hot chocolate, strike up that cozy fire, and let us take you on a 44 minute and 49 second musical Christmas journey to celebrate the greatest story the world has ever known!”

The future offering will include an impressive tracklist of 13 songs including two stunning originals with a major standout being the emotive ballad from Joseph’s perspective ‘A Carol of Joseph’ with the whole collection being beautifully produced by Tedd T, For King & Country, and co-produced by Benjamin Backus.
