Nikita Announces Debut Single ‘Break Your Heart’

On-the-rise country music singer/songwriter Nikita has been playing music ever since she was a young child and definitely has music in her blood, and having taken her career to the next stage in 2008 the Norwegian artist began performing live and has since been building up a steady listenership.

In 2010 she released the gorgeous ‘I Wonder’ via YouTube but following that breakout offering her career slowed down due to illness and starting a family and now happily engaged with two beautiful children the rising star is back with the official release of her debut single ‘Break Your Heart’ which will be releasing this Winter.

The track is set to be a special offering from Nikita as she now begins looking towards taking her music career up a notch as she begins to once again put her time and effort into creating country music that connects and inspires listeners across the world and with strong connections within Nashville she has all the tools needed in order to become the next artist to breakthrough.

Speaking about the song’s lyrical inspiration, Nikita says: “The inspiration comes from my current relationship. We have been together for eight years and have two kids. We have been through the hardest times where we wanted to end things but have gotten back together stronger each time. Now, we are engaged and have bought a house, we are stronger than ever and if I ever lost this love it would break my heart. So our journey has inspired this song”.

Whilst the Norway-based artist added of the writing process: “I wrote the lyrics and the Davis Branch wanted to produce my song so we sat down over a video call and went through the lyrics. We changed some parts and understood me and what I wanted with the song so the writing process with him was great. He’s such a skilled person”.

‘Break Your Heart’ has been a long time coming for Nikita and with all the turbulence of 2020, the end of the year is set to be especially special for the country performer as she begins an exciting new era with the release of her eagerly awaited debut single which is slated for a November/December release.
