Foreign Affairs Announce New Single ‘Hits Like Lightning’
On-the-rise Bristol-based country music duo Foreign Affairs have enjoyed quite a bit of success in recent years with several hit singles, and multiple headline shows along the way and now they are gearing up for their biggest year which will kick-start on April 8th with new single ‘Hits Like Lightning’.
The forthcoming track drops across all leading streaming and download platforms from this Friday, just before they play live at the iconic Green Note venue in the heart of London on April 20th so fans will have a couple of weeks to learn all of the words to what promises to be one of the best tracks yet.
The upcoming offering from Foreign Affairs sees them delivering a hearty, anthemic, and powerful song that will capture the attention of fans and critics alike. That outstanding driven guitar hook provides the driving force for the whole track and allows the duo to really let loose on the chorus.
They sound at their best with a heavy, thumping production overlay that is supercharged with vibing energy that will go down incredibly well when performed live and with ‘Hits Like Lightning’ they have captured that incredible sonic vibe perfectly allowing for them to tap into their country-rock influences.
Speaking about the release, Foreign Affairs say: “The song was purposefully written to follow on from our last single, it was important for us to recreate our live sound on record and we feel that has been achieved. It is a cry for affection, a call to be lifted from a sunken place and describes the feeling when it all comes together.”
