Jess Setterfield Announces Debut Single ‘Burned and Bruised’
The British country music scene is forever evolving, and welcoming exciting new talent into the fold and one of its most recent acquisitions is the fabulous Jess Setterfield who is ready to bring her unique vocal tone, and standout songwriting skill to the table as she readies her debut single.
The forthcoming inaugural offering from Jess is titled ‘Burned and Bruised’ and it will be released independently by the multi-talented singer/songwriter across all leading digital download and streaming platforms from Friday, September 3rd signalling the start of what promises to a hugely successful music career.
The Northern native is now based in Swansea, South Wales and with ‘Burned and Bruised’ she showcases her writing chops with a wonderfully crafted lyrical story that focuses on the theme of a relationship breaking down right in front of you, whilst you desperately try to cling on to what’s left of the romance.
The upcoming release from Setterfield was recorded at the Puzzle Maker Studios and produced by the award-winning duo of Drea Succi and Danny McMahon – with the music makers joining forces to create a brilliant production overlay that drives home the words of the song without taking away from Jess’ vocal.
Speaking about the song, Jess states: “Burned and Bruised comes from a personal experience. It was a time in my life where I was watching a seemingly perfect relationship turn sour and I wasn’t able to apply the brakes. I was feeling helpless, frustrated and hurt from not being able or feeling like I was enough to rescue it. This song was my therapy in being able to close that chapter in my life and I’m so grateful to my co-writers Rosie Jones and Ari Cohen”.
