Kelsea Ballerini and Lany Frontman Paul Klein Release ‘I Quit Drinking’ Duet
Following on from a hugely successful night co-hosting the CMT Awards in Nashville, Tennessee, Grammy-nominated country music superstar Kelsea Ballerini has shared the official audio for latest single ‘I Quit Drinking’ which is a stunning duet with Lany frontman Paul Klein.
The track gets its official release across digital download and streaming platforms after the pair of artists blew fans away with their breathtaking live performance of the brilliant collaboration at the CMT Awards last night (Wednesday, June 9th) which took place in Music City.
The instant hit song has been penned by Kelsea Ballerini alongside Paul Klein, and Nicolle Gallyon with the trio of hitmakers colliding to create a striking cross-genre soundscape that brings together multiple sound elements that bleeds into the epic sweeping production backdrop.
It’s a different vibe to what we are used to hearing from both Ballerini, and Lany and allows for the ‘Peter Pan’ singer/songwriter to showcase her sultry, smooth vocals which are then delicately overlayed over a passionate, and driven piano and anticipatory, soaring beat.
Speaking about the duet, Kelsea states: “I’ve been a fan of LANY for a long time!. So, it was really amazing to work together on ‘I Quit Drinking.’ We’ve all got Tennessee in common, and we found this sweet spot between rock, pop, and country for the song. It’s a little different for the both of us, and I can’t wait to play it live again!”
