Kelsea Ballerini Announces New Stripped-Back Album ‘Ballerini’

Back in March of this year, US country crossover superstar Kelsea Ballerini shared her outstanding new record ‘Kelsea’ which delivered a sublime selection of pop-country tracks that showcase the artist’s incredible songwriting and vocal maturity as she navigates the next chapter of her growing music career.

And now as we head into Autumn, Kelsea has announced that on Friday, September 11th, she will be sharing a brand new version of the album, this time stripping back the songs to their country core in order to truly let the lyrical stories shine without any pop production overlay.

The forthcoming project is being spearheaded by a stunning piano-led rendition of the 2019 radio smash-hit ‘Club’ with the new and updated version offering a far more melancholy vibe to that of the original which was a huge pop crossover anthem, instead this softly led approach is delicate and somewhat mournful.

Speaking about the upcoming ‘Ballerini’ collection, Kelsea Ballerini says: “Kelsea is glitter: bold and effervescent and dreams that are boundless. She’s who I want to be. While Ballerini is emotional, vulnerable, soft: observes her surroundings and chooses her words carefully. She’s who I am. This album is the other side of the same story.”

The project is pure vulnerability from the American performer as she strips away all the protection that the full-on production offers and lays the heartfelt lyrics bare as she shows us all a piece of her heart like never before. As an artist, Kelsea is a powerful storyteller and this album will shine a light on that side of her talent perfectly.
