Kylie Trout Releases New Single ‘American Summer’

Fast-rising country crossover sensation Kylie Trout is ready to take the ever-growing, and evolving scene by storm with the release of her infectious, feel-good hit ‘American Summer’ which is available to download and stream right now across all leading digital platforms.

The anthemic track has already been lauded by industry insiders and is set to become the song of the summer thanks to its intoxicating, laid-back vibe that feels like a warm breeze, this is one that needs to be blasted loud. The song was originally co-penned by Kylie Trout alongside Dalton Baird and Jason Hamor in 2019, and was recorded by the singer/songwriter in Nashville however something never sat quite right with the finished sound – it was then re-recorded following the shutdown last year and the new updated version just feels perfect.

Speaking about the process behind the song, Kylie says: “Something just didn’t feel right about the song. Over time, I felt like we could tweak the song to make it better, and using the experience from the COVID closures that’s what we did. I re-recorded the song in Nashville and am so happy with the final product”.

To bring the new reworked version to life Trout teamed up with renowned music maker Bill McDermott who has done a fantastic job of creating a sweeping, pop-infused backdrop that elevates the carfree country-infused lyrics to the next level making it a sure-fire chart smash.
