Larkin Poe Announce New Album ‘Self Made Man’

Nashville based multi-instrumentalist country/rock sister duo Larkin Poe consisting of Megan and Rebecca have announced details of their much anticipated new album ‘Self Made Man’. The forthcoming record follows on from their critically acclaimed, Grammy-nominated 2018 release ‘Venom & Faith’ and promises to be one of the most exciting releases within the roots crossover scene this year.

The upcoming CD is led by the playful, tongue-in-cheek single ‘She’s A Self Made Man’ single which is a fun twist on the LP’s title and is a big riffed assertion of their current intent and amplified artistic power – a truly remarkable offering that delivers a pointed gender twist and acts as a huge anthem for Larkin Poe.

Their latest album ‘Self Made Man’ is their best body of work to date and sees them effortlessly pushing sonic boundaries yet still keeps them firmly rooted in the creative heritage of their beloved American South. The duo bring together a selection of country, rock, roots, and pop stylistics to create a truly unique blended sound that sets them apart from their musical counterparts.

Speaking about the creative process for their latest project, Rebecca states: “The writing process for this album was liberating. When I first started writing songs as a sixteen-year-old, I was consumed with my singular perspective; I needed to write from an intensely personal place. When we started working on ‘Self Made Man’ I wanted to take a step back and think about storytelling from a broader perspective, and that really opened up a whole new vista. Listening to this album, now that it’s finished, I can hear the growth and I am very proud of it. There are so many moments in these songs that I can’t wait to sing with our fans.”
