Laura Evans Announces New Single ‘Gone’
Welsh country music influenced singer/songwriter Laura Evans has showcased on numerous occasions that she has the vocal prowess, and natural songwriting ability to become one of the leading voices within the UK scene and she is set to further push her global appeal with the release of her newest single.
On Monday, August 23rd, the multi-talented performer will share her brand new single ‘Gone’ which is yet another impressive track that is layered with multiple sonic styles, and intricate lyrics that collide to create a truly epic soundscape that shines a light on the outstanding artistry she possesses.
Co-written alongside Richard Turner, Laura Evans has crafted a truly fantastic powerful offering that will no doubt delight her loyal fanbase whilst enticing new listeners to become fans – she is an artist who knows exactly how she wants her music to sound and with ‘Gone’ she has proven that she is able to pen a hit that instantly connects.
With plenty of industry support behind her, especially in her home nation of Wales, Laura Evans has everything she needs to lead the next wave of British country crossover talent into the mainstream market. Speaking about the single, Laura says: “I wrote this song in the summer of 2020, just after the lockdown and after I had been watching way too much Netflix, my co-writer Rich Turner was playing some bluesy chords on guitar, and the first line I sang out loud was ādrank your coffee, smoked a cigaretteā then my imagination ran wild, I thought of the song like a movie in my mind and in just an hour, it was written. I was super excited to share it with my producer Josiah J Manning who worked his magic on the production and made it sound dark and exciting yet modern all at the same time”
