Lauren Davidson Shares ‘Compass’ Lyric Video

Back last month New York City country crossover singer/songwriter Lauren Davidson shared her brand new single ‘Compass’ which has been lifted off her forthcoming and much anticipated new EP ‘Love Ain’t Fair’ which is slated for release later this year. The five-track record has been produced by Dave Ricco and Cristian Castro who together have perfectly blended together the pop and country sounds to create a truly eclectic project.

Lyrically ‘Compass’ focuses on the willingness to work through problems in a difficult relationship even when the “waters seem tough”. With her strong vocal display and determined attitude scattered throughout the lyrics, Lauren brings a different perspective to a familiar experience and offers a fresh viewpoint.

Speaking about the upcoming EP, Lauren Davidson says: “I am SO excited to continue to roll out my ‘Love Ain’t Fair’ EP which I started recording towards the end of last year. It is a 5 song EP that I am releasing in 5 parts and includes this song (Compass) and the title track (Love Ain’t Fair) with the 3rd song coming your way very soon. I also have some plans in the works to continue with my mini-festival Urban Country Jam and hopefully get back out on the road sooner than later!”

And now like a lot of artists, she is taking advantage of the current enforced downtime due to lockdowns being introduced across the world in the face of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic she is releasing more, and more new content and has this week shared the official lyric video for ‘Compass’.

The official lyric video is absolutely perfect for the song and carefully plays on Lauren’s powerful, soaring vocals and old-school country crossover sound, which creates an eclectic aesthetic for the clip and wonderfully brings the whole story to life like never before.
