LIVE REVIEW: Sarah Darling @ The Lower Third London
After a long three-year absence, last night (Friday, September 26th) adopted Brit Sarah Darling made her much-anticipated return to the UK stage with a stunning night at The Lower Third venue located in the heart of Tottenham Court Road, and it was a night to remember for all involved.
Before the Iowa native took to the stage, the night was kick-started by a truly stunning set from Nashville-based singer/songwriter Fainn, who delivered a note-perfect performance and truly shone on her very first show on British soil. We’re sure this won’t be the last time Brit fans are treated to her beautiful energy and vocals.

Fans were also treated to a brilliant country-infused set from Irish performer Shea Rafferty, who delivered a slick and polished set-list that surely won him a bunch of new fans.
And then it was time for the headliner to arrive, the wonderfully beautiful and enchanting Sarah Darling, who last performed in the UK way back in August of 2022, but the long wait was definitely worth it. Darling was nothing short of magical at The Lower Third, delivering a spellbinding performance of old hits, new cuts, and Canyon album tracks.
Sarah is one of those artists who effortlessly captures the full attention of her audience, and last night was no different. Her honey-toned vocals were as smooth as ever, and standout hits such as ‘Where Cowboys Ride’, ‘Hungover’, ‘Waves’, ‘Halley’s Comet’, ‘Red Mustang’, sprinkled with unreleased gems such as ‘Whiplash’ created an electric energy in the packed room while her cover of Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Landslide’ had everyone in full voice’.

The Lower Third is a standing room only venue, but if not, Sarah Darling would surely have been greeted with multiple standing ovations, such was the level of standout moments throughout the evening. You could feel the love from the fans pouring out toward Sarah, and she certainly felt it on stage and afterwards when she spent time with fans at the merch table.
Darling is a truly mesmerising performer who encapsulates what it is to be a country music artist; her lyrics are poignant, uplifting, warm, encouraging and real. She is a true star. Her UK journey began more than 10 years ago, and the love affair shows no signs of ending. She is an adopted Brit, and we were all so grateful to be able to welcome her back so warmly last night in London.
Overall, Sarah and her full band delivered a fantastic evening of live music that will live long in the memory of those lucky enough to be at The Lower Third.
