Mickey Guyton Announces Debut Album ‘Remember Her Name’

Grammy-nominated country music powerhouse Mickey Guyton has officially revealed the details of her long-awaited and hotly anticipated debut studio album. The forthcoming record will be titled ‘Remember Her Name’ and will be distributed via Universal Music Group Nashville this Autumn.

The truly exciting news comes on the back of a global breakout year for the singer/songwriter which saw her taking the country music world by storm with the release of her 2020 EP ‘Bridges’, and worldwide hit singles including the poignant, and career-changing ‘Black Like Me’.

The upcoming collection will see Mickey Guyton delivering a memoir-style tracklist that will take the listener through her journey within the country music world including the sickening racism she has faced, the sexism hurdles she has overcome, and the barriers she is breaking on a daily basis.

Guyton is one of the most important voices the music industry has ever had. She is not afraid to take a stand and speak her mind. She is not only a superbly talented vocalist and writer, she is also a woman on a mission to create a fair and equal landscape for all. Mickey is a true pioneer and the changes she is fighting for will break down the systematic barriers currently in place.

‘Remember Her Name’ is an LP that has been in the making for years and arrives long after Mickey’s 2015 debut single ‘Better Than You Left Me’, and the theme of the project is very much a personal one whilst the soundscape will be focused on traditional country and will incorporate her Texas drawl, and plenty of pedal steel into the mix.
