Mischa Announces Debut EP ‘New Beginnings’

Following on from the success of her hit breakout debut single ‘Do You Remember’, fast-rising English talent Mischa is ready to take her promising career to the next level with the release of her eagerly awaited debut EP ‘New Beginnings’ which will be officially released on February 19th.

The forthcoming record is looking to build on the solid foundation of success that ‘Do You Remember’ accomplished after the track charted in the UK iTunes chart at number 2, alongside being played on BBC Introducing in the Southwest before finding its place on country radio in Britain.

And with her debut EP, Mischa is ready to showcase her musical maturity with a standout body of work incorporating a number of sonic styles that shine a light on the many influences the Brit singer/songwriter has, whilst keep the soundscape firmly rooted in the modern country music world.

Speaking about the upcoming project, Mischa says: “Working on my first EP was such an amazing experience. Choosing the songs was the tricky part as I didn’t originally intend on taking my music down the country path, but I couldn’t be happier about how it turned out. One of the tracks, “Moving On” was a song I wrote when I was 10, although I had to rewrite the lyrics and create a story, the style of the song fit perfectly into the EP. The other two, “Won’t Be Long” and “If I Cried,” have more meaning to me as I wrote them both when I was going through difficult stages in my life. I feel so fortunate to be able to share my experiences through music, and hope people are able to connect with my songs and lyrics in their own way – as this is what music is all about.”

Although not originally intending to become a country singer/songwriter there’s no denying that the on-the-rise performer has a natural talent for creating lyrical stories whilst her laid-back vocal display allows her to further enhance the words of the song making her an ideal country crossover artist.
